The Incredible Jersey
Jules the penguin felt comfortable in her snowy home. Each day, she slid on the ice, feeling the crisp air fill her lungs and feeling the cool breeze on her feathers.
One morning, as she zoomed passed the icy cliffs, she spotted a questionable box buried in the snow. "What could be in this box?" Jules wondered, her heart pounding.
She waddled over and opened it, revealing an incredible, valuable jersey. Its colors were bright and its material was comfortable and soft.
"This is unbelievable!" Jules exclaimed, slipping the jersey over her feathers. It fit perfectly, making her feel invincible and warm against the cold.
As she admired her new find, she heard a soft and audible sigh behind him.
"Hi Kate!" Jules called, spotting her friend, Kate the polar bear, stomping her way through the snow.
Kate's eyes got bigger, "Wow, Jules! That is an incredible jersey. It's undeniable, it has to be a collectible!" she said.
Jules nodded, "Yes, isn't it nice? It is adjustable and reversible too!" she said, while showing it off. Kate looked at her, "I wonder if someone lost it."
Jules looked worried. "Yeah, maybe," she started, "I found it in a box." She slowly started to take off the jersey. She began to feel terrible for thinking that she could keep the blue jersey.
Just then, a jeep screeched to a stop. A man jumped out looking desperate. He saw a penguin and asked, "Have you seen a blue jersey?" he asked. "It belongs my son and it is very valuable to him. He accidentally left it in a box and needs it before his big game. When he wears it he feels unstoppable."
Jules felt guilty. "Yes, I found it," she said. "Here it is." She gave the man the neatly folded jersey that she had only taken off moments before.
The man's face lit up with relief. "Than you so much! You are a very responsible and respectable penguin." He handed Jules a shiny badge. "This is for your kindness."
Jules beamed with astonishment at the badge and showed it to Kate. "Thank you," she said, smiling.
She turned to Kate. "You did the right thing, Jules. What you did was admirable. You truly are respectable and responsible. Maybe we can make our own jerseys," Kate suggested. Jules nodded in agreement.
As Jules waddled home, he felt the weight of her actions. She looked at the snowy sky and reflected on her day and felt a sense of accomplishment. "Today truly was incredible," she said under her breath.
