The Littlest Flower
It had been hotter than ever this year. One day, Navid the monkey was swinging through the jungle when he spotted a bright red flower. "What a find!" he said, clapping his hands.
As Navid got closer, he saw something troubling. The flower was wilting, and the ground around it was dry. The flower looked sadder and sadder by the minute.
Navid called his friend, Kurt, the bobcat, who was napping nearby. "Kurt, look at this flower. It needs help," said Navid. Kurt glanced at the flower and nodded.
"Let's get some water," he said. They planned to fetch water from the nearby stream. As they set off, the clouds started to come in and the sky started getting darker.
"A storm is coming," Navid said with a worried look. "We have to hurry," Kurt the bobcat replied. They ran as fast as they could, their feet pounding on the jungle floor.
They reached the stream, filled their caps with water, and hurried back. When they returned, the rain started pouring down. Navid and Kurt were wetter than before, but they didn't stop.
They poured the water on the flower and then shielded it from the storm. They watched as the water gave it life. "It's working!" Navid shouted, his voice full of hope.
The flower began to stand taller, its petals becoming redder. The jungle seemed to buzz with excitement. Navid and Kurt clapped and cheered.
"This is the best day ever," Navid said, smiling at his friend. Kurt nodded, "We did it together." As the storm passed, the jungle glowed under the soft light of the setting sun.
Navid and Kurt sat under a big tree, feeling proud. The flower stood bright and tall, a symbol of their friendship and teamwork. They both felt like winners.
After a few weeks, the flower became even bigger and was the reddest color they had ever seen. It looked happy again.
Navid looked at Kurt and said, "Even when things seem tough, we can always find a way to help."
Kurt smiled and with that, they both felt a sense of calm and joy, knowing that they had helped this tiny flower.
