The Fastest Cheetah
In the vast grasslands lived a cheetah named Jamal. Even though Jamal was smaller than other cheetahs, he was known to be the fastest in the region. He had the brightest golden fur and the sharpest eyes.
He made a home in the quietest den near the watering hole.
One hot day, Jamal woke up and stretched. He wanted to run across the grasslands to feel the cool wind on his face. "Today I will find the highest hill and look for the view of the valley," he said.
As he dashed through the grass, the sun felt warm on his back. He heard the rustle of the grass beneath his paws. He ran faster, feeling the coolest breeze as he picked up speed.
The grasslands were alive with sounds - the chirping of the birds, the buzzing of insects, and the roar of other animals. The faster Jamal ran, the more these sounds blurred together.
The climb was steep. But he did not give up. He climbed higher and higher. Finally Jamal reached the highest hill. The view from the top was worth it. The view was the widest and nicest view he had ever seen.
As Jamal was about to leave, he spotted a younger looking zebra who looked sadder than ever. "Are you okay?" Jamal asked.
"No, I am lost. I cannot find my family," said the zebra with a sad look. Jamal knew he had to help. "Don't worry, I can help you find them," Jamal said.
Using his sharp eyes, he scanned the grasslands. He saw a group of zebras. Jamal pointed them out to the young zebra.
"I think I found your pack," Jamal said, full of hope. "Follow me," Jamal kept his pace slower so the zebra could keep up. After a while, they found the group of zebras grazing in the grass.
The zebra's older mother came to greet them. "Thank you! You are the bravest and kindest cheetah," said the mother zebra.
Jamal felt proud. "It's always good to help," he said, giving the softest purr. As the sun began to set, Jamal started the trek back home.
He ran faster than ever, feeling the coolest breeze on his back. He felt wiser and sharper than ever. He had done a kind deed and felt proud.
