The Hare's Desert Dare
Darius the hare had a flair for adventure.
He would dare to go anywhere, even places where no other hare would care to tread.
Today, he planned to climb the tallest stair of the desert's sandy dunes.
But he knew he would need to prepare and take extra care.
With a quick glance at the air, Darius could tell the weather would be fair.
He set off, leaving his safe lair, ready to face the desert's dare.
Up the stair of sand he climbed, his heart full of dare and his mind full of care.
Even when the climb made him tireless, Darius didn't despair.
At the top of the stair, Darius gave a stare at the view, it was a sight truly rare.
From up there, he could see a pear tree, a sight that made him very happy.
He hurried down the stair, excited to reach the pear tree and share his find.
But when he got there, he found the tree was bare.
Darius felt a bit unfair, but he didn't swear, he knew life in the desert was tough to bear.
But then he saw something in the air, it was an airplane, a sight very rare.
He watched the airplane disappear, it was a sight that brought him cheer.
With his adventure done, Darius knew he had to return to his lair, but he didn't care, he had fun.
He arrived home, his heart no longer full of dare, but filled with the joy of the adventure he chose to share.
He knew he would always remember the view from the stair, the airplane in the air, and the bare pear tree.
Darius the hare, with his flair for adventure, had a story to share.
And he knew, he would always dare to explore, because that's what made life fair.
