Brave Louise: The Newt who Stood Up
"Once upon a time, in a marsh, lived a newt named Louise," mom began the bedtime story.
She loved to play with her nephew and their squid friend until curfew.
As the sun sank, they would go to the swamp and play hide and seek.
Before going to bed, they loved to sip some warm soup in their huts.
"One day, while they were playing, Louise noticed a dispute among a group of bugs," mom continued.
She decided to rescue the little bug who was being bullied.
But the bugs didn't like it and started to spew disrespectful words at her.
Louise, feeling uneasy, decided to leave and join her nephew and squid friend.
"Back in the swamp, she shared the story with her friends," mom said.
They decided to continue their game, but Louise still felt a bit sad.
Seeing her sad, her nephew suggested a barbeque to cheer her up.
With the delicious smell of roasting prawn and corn, Louise's spirits lifted, and she said, 'Phew, what a day!'
"The next day, Louise saw the same group of bugs again," mom narrated.
She decided to argue with them and set some rules, hoping to make them less disrespectful.
The bugs, surprised by her courage, decided to listen.
From that day on, they became less disrespectful and more friendly.
"Every evening, before curfew, Louise, her nephew, and their squid friend would return home and sip soup," mom concluded.
They learned that sometimes, you have to stand up and argue for what's right.
And that's the story of Louise, the brave newt who stood up against the disrespectful bugs.
"Now, it's time to sleep. Goodnight, my little ones," mom said, turning off the light.
