Dolores the Dinosaur Learns to Stay Cool
Dolores, the dinosaur, was the biggest dinosaur on the land. She loved to go jogging by the river, chasing the bugs.
Dolores was always active, but today she felt hotter than usual. She stopped by the river to drink some water.
She saw her reflection in the water and noticed her color seemed redder. ''Am I getting a sunburn?'' Dolores thought.
The next day, Dolores planned to play at the sandlot. As she played, she felt even hotter.
She hopped into the river to cool down. The water felt wetter than she remembered.
Her friend, the cheetah, came by and noticed Dolores seemed sadder than usual. ''Are you ok?'' the cheetah asked.
Dolores told the cheetah about feeling hot and her skin looking redder. The cheetah suggested she might have a fever.
Dolores felt scared and started crying. Her tears made the river even wetter.
The cheetah hugged Dolores, trying to comfort her. ''Don't worry, we'll find help,'' he said.
The next day, they went to see the wise old groundhog. The groundhog felt Dolores' forehead and said she was hotter than usual.
The groundhog suggested Dolores rest in the shade and drink plenty of water. Dolores nodded, feeling a bit sadder but hopeful.
Dolores spent the next few days resting and drinking water. Slowly, she started feeling better.
A week later, Dolores was back to her usual self. She felt cooler and her skin was no longer redder than usual.
She thanked the cheetah and the groundhog for their help. ''I'm feeling better because of you,'' Dolores said.
Dolores learned the importance of taking care of her health. She promised to take it easy on hot days and always stay hydrated.
Dolores went back to her daily routine, but she was more careful now. She always carried a bottle of water when she went jogging.
She also made sure to rest in the shade when she felt hot. Dolores was happier and healthier than before.
And whenever she felt sad or unwell, she knew she could count on her friends for help.
