Hector's Joyful Jog Through the Forest
Hector the wolf woke up and planned the day.
Still sleepy, he slipped into his jogging shoes.
He started jogging, but tripped on a root.
Stopping, he noticed a rat nibbling on a nut.
He patted his stomach, he needed to eat.
He planned to catch the rat.
But the rat, sensing danger, started running.
Hector chased it, but stopped, it was too fast.
He sighed, it was time for a different plan.
He spotted a pond full of fish.
Rubbing his paws together, he started plotting.
Fish for dinner, he thought, will be nice.
He hopped in the pond, causing a splash.
The fish, startled, started swimming away.
Hector swatted at them, but missed.
He sighed, he needed a new plan.
He spotted a turtle, sunning on a rock.
Slipping quietly, he got closer.
The turtle, seeing him, retreated into its shell.
Hector sighed, he was going to bed hungry.
He planned to hunt early in the morning.
He rubbed his belly, then started jogging home.
He slipped into his bed, and started dreaming of a feast.
Tomorrow, he thought, I will not stop until I get my meal.
