Scout's Shiny Treasure: A Farmyard Adventure
Scout, the mouse, lived on a farm. He was the smallest but the quickest among all the animals.
Being the quickest, he could easily reach the highest peak of the barn.
From the peak, he could see the entire farm. He loved watching the sun rise in the east.
Every week, Scout would gather grain from the fields.
He stored his food in a small hole in an old oak tree.
Scout was always careful not to be seen by the farmer.
One day, Scout found a shiny, red bead near the stream.
He picked it up and decided to keep it as a treasure.
Scout was very happy with his new find. He felt like the luckiest mouse in the world.
But one day, Scout lost his shiny bead. He was very sad.
He searched high and low, but couldn’t find it anywhere.
Finally, Scout decided to ask for help. He asked the oldest and wisest animal on the farm, the horse, for help.
The horse told Scout to retrace his steps. Scout thought it was a great idea.
He started from the tree, then went to the field, and finally to the stream.
There, in the water, he saw something shiny. It was his bead! Scout was the happiest mouse in the world.
Scout thanked the horse for his advice. He promised to be more careful with his treasure.
From that day on, Scout always kept his bead in a safe place.
He was still the quickest mouse on the farm, but now he was also the wisest.
