Lost in the Desert

Les, the donkey, is normally happy but today he feels clueless.

"Where am I?" Les wonders, looking at the endless desert.

He tries to remember the way back home, but he feels out of sorts.

Feeling clueless and restless, Les goes to explore.

The desert seems endless, but Les is brave.

He hopes to find a helpful clue soon. He feels mindless and wanders the desert.

As the sun begins to set, Les feels hopeless.

He misses the green grass of the valley, the cool shade of the trees.

But, he refuses to be useless and does not give up and to find his way back home.

Under the moonlight, Les sees something sparkle in the distance.

He approaches the sparkle and finds a bottle. Maybe it is a helpful clue!

He picks the bottle up. It has a note inside that reads, "Do not give up." Les reads it and feels better.

By morning, Les is sleepy. He had been moving all night.

Finally, he spots something green, it is the forest he adores!

Feeling joyful, Les realizes he is no longer mindless, he has found his way home.

Back in the forest, Les feels grateful.

Even though his trek was hard, it was not pointless.

Les is proud. He was not mindless, he was brave and skillful. He did not give up and made his way home.
