Howard's Change of Tune
Once upon a time, in a lush meadow, lived an owl named Howard.
Howard had an odd habit of making a loud sound at dawn.
He helped wake up the rest of the animals in the meadow with his loud call.
One day, Howard looked around and noticed a mouse hiding in the grass.
He swooped down and asked the mouse, 'Why are you hiding?'
The mouse, shocked, squeaked, 'I'm afraid of the loud sound you make at dawn.'
Howard felt bad and vowed to change his loud morning routine.
The next morning, instead of a loud sound, Howard sang a soft song.
The mouse was happy and thanked Howard for his kindness.
Since then, every morning, Howard sings a soft song to wake up his friends.
Everyone in the meadow now loves the sound of Howard's morning song.
And that's how Howard, the owl, became the most loved bird in the meadow.
