The Girl in the Purple Shirt
Curtis, the bird, lived on a sturdy branch.
Every morning, he would chirp a lovely tune.
One day, Curtis saw a girl with a purple shirt.
She was looking up at him with a big grin.
The girl had a squirt gun and was ready to have fun.
Curtis felt a bit of fear, but he decided to stay firm.
The girl aimed the squirt gun and water flew towards Curtis.
With a quick whirl, Curtis avoided the water.
Curtis then decided to play a trick on the girl.
He took a quick dip in a puddle and shook off the water, causing a blur of droplets.
The girl laughed and said, 'You're such a quirk, bird.'
Curtis felt happy and decided to return to his branch.
From that day on, Curtis would play with the girl every day.
And so, their friendship continued to grow, just like the sturdy branch Curtis lived on.
Days turned into weeks and weeks into months.
Curtis and the girl maintained their firm friendship.
One day, the girl didn't come to play.
Curtis felt a pang of hurt but decided to wait.
Finally, the girl returned wearing a new purple shirt.
Curtis chirped happily, their friendship as sturdy as ever.
