Dexter Helps at the River
Dexter, the otter, loved to play under the sun in his river.
Dexter, ever so active, would dive in and out of the water.
One day, Dexter found a piece of paper floating on the water.
With a quick swerve, Dexter grabbed the paper with his little paws.
Close to the river, a gardener called out to Dexter, 'Can you find my letter?'
Dexter, the otter, swam over to the gardener, letter in paw.
The gardener thanked Dexter and gave him a butter cookie as a perk.
With a happy twirl, Dexter dived back into the river, cookie held tight.
As summer turned to winter, Dexter kept helping others.
Whether it was a lost object or a stranded spider, Dexter was always there to lend a paw.
One day, a mister stood by the river, looking for his lost watch.
Dexter, ever so helpful, dove in to search for the watch.
Dexter found the watch under a rock and returned it to the mister.
The mister was glad and thanked Dexter.
Dexter, the otter, was the hero of his river.
With each passing day, Dexter's acts of kindness made his river a better place.
Dexter loved his river and all the friends he made there.
And everyone loved Dexter, the otter, for his kind heart and helpful nature.
So the story of Dexter, the otter, teaches us to be kind and help others.
Because every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a big difference.
