As Sally cleaned she found some old boxes. "All of this dust and these boxes are making my den unclean," she thought. 

She unstacked the boxes. "I wonder what's in these old boxes," she thought. She carefully unwrapped the tape around the box. She found a hammer, nails, and an item wrapped in cloth.

"These might come in handy," she said with a smile. She unfolded the cloth and uncovered an old picture of her and her family. "I know just where to put this," she said.

Sally worked hard all morning. She swept, unpacked more boxes, and organized her things. 

She used the hammer and nails to hang the picture up on the wall. By noon, her den looked much better. Feeling proud, Sally took a break. 

She walked to the river to rest by the water. The sun was shining and the river looked inviting. Sally dipped her paws in and felt the cool water. 

Suddenly, she heard her friend, a fox named Kelly. "Hey Sally! What are you up to?" Kelly called out. 

"I've been cleaning my unclean den all morning. It was such an untidy mess. Now I'm taking a break to unwind." Sally replied. 

"That sounds like hard work. Do you need any help? It sounds unfair that you have to do that by yourself," said Kelly.

"Thanks Kelly, but I think I have it under control now. But I do need to unwind a bit," said Sally.

Kelly nodded. "Let's sit by the river and enjoy the day." So they sat with their paws in the river, listening to the birds and the flowing water. 

After a while, Sally felt much better and rested. "I have to get back to my den," she said. "I still have some things to unpack."

Kelly smiled, "Alright Sally. See you later!" Sally waved and went back to her den. 

Back in her den she continued to work. She found an old pair of shoes with laces that were in knots. She untied them and put them on her shoe rack. 

Sally continued to unpack the boxes and found an old teddy bear and placed it on her bed. She also found some old books and put them on her shelf. 

By evening, Sally's den was clean and cozy. She felt happy and proud of her work. "Today was a good day," Sally said smiling to herself.

They reached the stream, filled their caps with water, and hurried back. When they returned, the rain started pouring down. Navid and Bobcat were wetter than before, but they didn't stop.

They poured the water on the flower and then shielded it from the storm. They watched as the water gave it life. "It's working!" Navid shouted, his voice full of hope.

The flower began to stand taller, its petals becoming redder. The jungle seemed to buzz with excitement. Navid and Bobcat clapped and cheered.

"This is the best day ever," Navid said, smiling at his friend. Bobcat nodded, "We did it together." As the storm passed, the jungle glowed under the soft light of the setting sun.

Navid and Bobcat sat under a big tree, feeling proud. The flower stood bright and tall, a symbol of their friendship and teamwork. They both felt like winners. 

After a few weeks, the flower became even bigger and was the reddest color they had ever seen. It looked happy again.

"Whoo! We did it!" Lee cheered as the tree stood tall. The forest was safe again. "Thanks, Kim," Lee said with a happy grin. "Anytime, Lee," Kim replied, patting his hoof. They both looked up at the moon, blooming in the sky.

Fall Friends

Angie owned a small shop. She loved to sell donuts. Every morning, she woke up and planned out her day.

She always stopped to check to make sure she had everything on her list. She went shopping for items if something was missing.

Then, Angie patted the dough and shaped it into donuts. One day, Angie was busy in her shop.

She was frying donuts when she heard a noise. "What was that?" she wondered.

She peeked around the corner. "Ribbit" A little toad had slipped into the shop. Angie stopped rolling out the dough and giggled. 

"Hello, little toad! What are you doing here?" she asked. The toad just blinked. Angie gently swatted it with a broom.

The toad hopped out the door. Angie went back to her donuts. She stirred the batter and watched it bubble. Then she put the donuts in the oven. 

Angie fanned herself as it was getting hot in the shop. Soon, the shop was filled with the sweet smell of baking. 

Customers started to come in. A woman named May walked in. "These donuts look delightful!" she said. Angie smiled and nodded.

"Thank you, May. Would you like to try one?" May picked a donut and took a bite.

"Mmm, it's perfect!" she exclaimed, clapping her hands together. As Angie was helping another customer, she noticed the toad again.

It had returned and was now sitting on a bagel. Angie laughed and said, "You really like it here, don't you?" She gently picked up the toad and placed it outside again.

This time, she hoped it would stay out. The day went on, and Angie kept busy. She boxed and wrapped some donuts up and had others shipped out to customers. 

She rubbed her hands together, feeling happy about her work.

By nightfall, Angie was tired but content. She had sold many donuts and made many people smile. She looked around her spotless shop and felt proud.

"Finn, have you seen the sludge in the cove?" Ricky asked. Finn nodded, "Yes, Ricky. It's been there for days. I think it may be coming from the old workshop by the shore."

Ricky decided to investigate. He swam swiftly to the shore and found the workshop. "This must be what Finn was talking about." Ricky sighed. 

Ricky swam closer to the workshop. It looked abandoned and covered in grime. "I need to get closer," Ricky thought.

He carefully swam up to the spot where the sludge was gushing out, careful not to get the sludge on him. As he got closer, he saw a busted pipe. "This must be it," Ricky said firmly.

He knew he had to act quickly to stop the sludge from spoiling the arctic waters. Ricky swam back to Finn as quickly as he could. "I found a busted pipe at the workshop, A lot of sludge is coming out fast." he told Finn.

"We need to fix it." Finn agreed and said, "Let's go get some help. We will need as much help as we can get." They called upon the other animals in the arctic, and soon, a team of fish, sharks, and even a whale joined them.

Together, they worked hard and quickly. The shark used its teeth to cut away the damaged parts of the pipe.

While the gulls helped fly new pipes over. Ricky and Finn guided them, showing where to place each new piece of pipe.

The animals worked swiftly and mostly silently, focusing on the task. Finally, after hours of hard work, the pipe was fixed. The sludge slowly stopped flowing, and the arctic waters began to clear.

Ricky and Finn watched as the bubbles started to rise again, and the water glowed under the sunlight. "Thank you, everyone," Ricky said loudly. "We did it!" The animals cheered and felt proud of their hard work.

The animals were glad and were able to swim freely in the arctic again. It felt lovely to have the water clear from any sludge.

Not sure, Hector. Maybe try and ask Sakshi, the jaguar? She is a great explorer and may know who it belongs to" Brent replied. 

Hector crawled over to Sakshi the jaguar who was relaxing under a tree. "Do you recognize this collar?" 

Sakshi shook her head. "Sorry Hector, I have not seen that before."

Determined to find the owner, Hector followed a trail of water lily flowers along the river. Along the way, he met a lizard who was sunbathing on a rock. 

"Hello lizard! Do you know who this collar belongs to?" Hector asked. 

The lizard's eyes widened. "Oh yes! That collar is mine. I thought I had lost it forever! Thank you!"

Hector returned the collar to the lizard, who was very happy. "As a token of thanks, please take this jar of nectar," the lizard said, handing Hector a small jar. 

Hector thanked the lizard and waddled back to the popular spot near the harbor where he found his friend, Eleanor the aardvark.

Hector shared the nectar with Eleanor the aardvark and they enjoyed the sweet floral flavor of the nectar. It was better than anything they had ever tasted. 

From that day on, Hector continued to help others and lived his regular life in the river near the harbor.

"Are you sure, Marcus? That's a pretty big rollercoaster," his mom said. "Yes!! Pleaseee" Marcus begged. "Okay Marcus," his mom said, smiling. So Marcus and his mom jogged to the line.

Marcus's heart began to beat faster and faster as he got closer to the end of the line. It felt like his heart was skipping a beat. "I'm feeling a little scared," he shared.

"It's okay to be scared," his mom said. "I'm right here." They climed into the first car of the rollercoaster and strapped in. Marcus gripped the handle bar and held his mom's hand tight.

The rollercoaster car chugged up the tracks, at first moving slowly, and then it went quickly down the tracks again. 

Marcus gripped the handle bar harder. "Ahhh!" he yelled. The rollercoaster continued to go up and down the tracks again. "Wooohoo!" he shouted. 

After a few mintues, rollercoaster came to a stop and the ride was over. "Let's do that again!" he yelled, while clapping his hands.

"Maybe in a little bit," his mom smiled. He hugged and thanked her for going on the biggest rollercoaster ride. 

Marcus and his mom spent the rest of the day playing games and winning prizes, petting the animals at the petting zoo, and eating yummy food. 

"That was the best day ever," Marcus said as they walked to the car.

Melika arrived at the hut first, becoming the true winner. Grace came in after and they stopped and rested by the hut. 

Melika and Grace sat on the warm ground, catching their breath. "That was fun," Melika said.

"You are a fast runner," said Grace. "Thank you," Melika replied. "Even though you are smaller than I am, you are fast too," Melika smiled.

Melika smiled. "I have a prize for you," she said. She grabbed a nice kite from her bag.

"This is for you." Grace clapped her wings in joy. "Thank you, Melika! This is the nicest gift." 

Grace gave Melika a banner that said "Winner" on it. "Thank you Grace," Melika smiled. 

Melika and Grace spent the rest of the day flying the kite. The windmill nearby spun faster as the wind picked up.

Melika and Grace laughed as the kite danced in the sky. By evening, they were tired. "Let's head back," Melika said.

Grace nodded, and they walked back to their homes. Melika felt happy. She had a fun day racing with her friend.

Louise continued to explore the ship. She found an old motor covered in rust. "This must be from a long time ago," she thought. "I wonder if all of this belonged to a sailor."

Then, she saw a squid hiding behind a barrel. "Hello there!" Louise said. 

The squid waved its tentacles. Louise swam to the upper deck of the ship. She saw flowers growing through the cracks. 

The flowers smelled sweet and the bright colors made the old ship look alive. Louise felt hopeful and happy. 

Suddently she heard a noise. "I wonder what that was," she thought nervously. Then she saw it. It was a major big shark! Louise quickly hid behind a large rock. 

The shark swam past her, not noticing her at all. "Phew, that was close," Louise thought. 

After a while, she came out of her hiding spot. Louise felt relieved.  After the shark was gone, Louise swam back to the harbor. 

She had found many treasures and had an exciting adventure. She was thankful for the day and all the new things she had discovered. Louise told her friends about the sunken ship. 

They all wanted to see it too. So, they made a plan to go together the next day. Louise felt proud to be the one to lead the way.

After a few hours, Audrey felt tired. "I need to rest," she said. They took a break under a big tree.

Audrey and the duck sat in the shade. The cool breeze felt nice. After some rest, Audrey felt better. "Let's finish the job," she told the duck. 

They went back to work, stacking sticks and logs higher and higher and unwrapping branches. The sun was setting, but the dam was almost done. 

Audrey felt uneasy again. "What if the dam becomes uneven or unbalanced and breaks again?" she wondered. 

The duck said, "Don't worry, Audrey. We can always fix it together." Audrey smiled. She felt less uneasy with a friend by her side.

Finally, they finished the dam. The river was calm again. Audrey thanked the duck. "You are a good friend," she said. 

Audrey learned that with help, she could overcome anything. She felt happy and proud of their work and knew with a little bit of help, she could do anything.

The river was full of sounds. Birds chirped, frogs croaked, and water splashed. But the loudest sound was the dog’s bark. 

Suddenly, the dog jumped out of the jeep and ran towards them! Walter felt his heart race. 

“We need to hide! “ he said urgently. They dashed behind the dam, their hearts pounding. The dog sniffed around but could not find them. After what felt like forever, the dog left, barking loudly as it left. 

Walter and Isabelle sighed in relief. “That was close!” Isabelled said.

“Yes but we are safe now,” replied Walter. They returned to their work, determined to finish before the week ended. 

They built and built until finally, the dam was done. It was tall, strong, and flawless. 

Walter felt proud. “We did it!” he cheered. Tim smiled. “Let’s celebrate with a meal of fresh fish!” Walter agreed eagerly. They caught fish from the stream and ate by the dam. 

The river seemed quieter and calmer now. As the sun set, Walter felt tired but happy. He lay down on the soft grass and closed his eyes. The river was peaceful again, and Walter drifted off to sleep, dreaming of even bigger dams.

Finally, Irene placed the cake in the preheated oven. While the cake baked, she rejoined her friends outside. They were playing near the pool. 

"The cake is in the oven!" Irene said excitedly. "We can't wait to try it!" Irene's friend Leo said. 

As the sun started to set, Irene returned to the kitchen. The smell of cake filled the air and she carefully removed it from the oven. It smelled wonderful. 

She let the cake cool down before deciding to slice it. Her friends gathered around, their eyes wide.

Irene handed out slices to everyone. The first bite was met with delighted "Mmmms" and "Yums". 

This is amazing, Irene!" cheered Randy, his mouth full of cake. 

"This is the best cake ever," added Tesh, giving Irene a thumbs up.

"Hello lion," he said calmly. "Are you hungry?" he hold out a handful of fish, the silver scales shone brightly in the sun. Brenda was speechless. No one had ever shown her such selfless kindness. 

She smelled the fish and then looked a the boy. He smiled warmly and patted her head, "You don't have to be helpless anymore. We can share," he said. 

Over the next few days, Brenda and the boy named Amari became friends. Amari was always cheerful and helpful. He showed her where to find food and water. 

Brenda felt grateful and hopeful for the first time in a long while. Her nights were no longer sleepless and she no longer had to worry about not finding food. She felt peaceful for the first time in a while.

Today he was prepared to have the laziest day when suddenly, he heard a ringing sound from the yard.

"What could that be?" John wondered. He hurried to the yard and spied the fluffiest little puppy with a purple collar.

John studied the purple collar. It was had a silver name tag that read, "Miles." John nudged Miles gently. "What are you doing here, little one?" he asked. "Someone is probably worried about you," he said.

Miles wagged his tail and barked happily. John looked around and saw no one else. "I guess you're lost," John said.

John decided to help the puppy find his home. He carried Miles carefully on his back and started down the mountain trail. As they walked, they heard birds chirping and saw flowers blooming.

The summer air was warm and fresh. Miles seemed to enjoy the ride. He licked John's cheek and wagged his tail.

John felt happier with each step. They passed a farm where an old farmer was working. The farmer waved at John and Miles.

"Hello there!" John called out. "Are you missing a puppy?" The farmer shook his head. "No, but you might try the village down the highway," he replied. John nodded and continued on their journey.

They reached the village and saw many people doing their chores. John asked a lady if she knew where Miles belonged. "That cute puppy?" she replied.

"He might belong to the house with the purple door. It's just over there." John hurried to the house with the purple door.

He knocked gently with his tail. A girl opened the door and her eyes widened with joy. "Miles! I've been so worried!" she cried. John smiled.

"I found him in the mountains. Is he yours?" John asked. "Yes, thank you so much," she replied, hugging the puppy. "You are the luckiest puppy," she replied to the puppy.

Even though John and the puppy had become buddies, he felt the happier knowing that the puppy was back where it belonged. 

John felt the biggest warmth in his heart. He waved goodbye to Miles and the girl. 

As he flew back up towards the mountain, he thought about the day's adventure. "Helping others feels good," John said to himself. He looked at the sunlight beaming over the peaks and knew he had made new friends.

From then on, John always kept an eye out for anyone who might need help in the mountains. He knew that someday, he might have another adventure with new friends.

The hare nodded. "I will help you. Let's look near the big oak tree." They walked to the tree. Under the tree, they saw a turtle resting in the shade.

"Hello, turtle," Sean called gently. "Have you seen my gold necklace?" The turtle shook his head slowly. "No, but I can help you search. Let's check by the stream." 

At the stream, they met a hedgehog busy sniffing the fresh air. 

"Hello, hedgehog," Sean said. "Have you seen my gold necklace?" The hedgehog twitched its nose and replied, "No, but I will help. Let's search near the bridge." 

The group reached the bridge and saw a kitty playing with a fallen leaf.

"Hello, kitty," Sean said. "Have you seen my gold necklace?" The kitty looked up, eyes bright and  meowed, "No, but I'll help you look." 

They all searched high and low, their eyes scanning every inch of the forest. 

Suddenly, the hare shouted with excitement, "I found it!" The necklace was under a rock near the bridge. Sean was overjoyed.

He stared at his gold neckalace happily. He could not wait to wear it again.

"Thank you, friends! I could not have done it without you." They all sat by the stream to rest.

Sean took out a basket of fruit to share. "Let's have a snack to celebrate," he said. They ate pears, apples, and honey as an airplane flew by.

The sun began to set, and Sean thanked his friends again. "You all have shown great care. I am lucky to have such good friends."

They all smiled. The forest was peaceful again. The friends went their separate ways, happy and content.

"I’m sorry, Remy," Marvin started, his voice low. "I was so disheartened by the empty stores in my home. The winter was too harsh, and I was desperate."

Remy’s discomfort from earlier melted away. He realized that his disdain for sharing had blinded him to his friends' needs. 

With a small smile, he nudged a carrot toward Marvin. "Let’s distribute these evenly. No one should feel dismissed or disconnected from help," Remy said.

Marvin’s face lit up with gratitude. "Thank you, Remy. I was wrong to take without asking, but your generosity now is a big discovery for me about friendship."
